Missions

“Missions is everything to the Crossroads community. Everything we do is done in an effort to lead people in a growing relationship with Christ. Our hope is to creatively present the love and good news of Jesus Christ using any means possible.”

– Dr. John Mark Robinson

Jerusalem: Our Local Mission

Currently we have organized our missions strategy into four categories based on Acts 1:8. Jerusalem represents our own county and community. We are certainly called not just to reach Canton, but to also minister to all of Van Zandt County. Here at Crossroads we see people from all of our surrounding cities, and we love that they have found a church home with us. We also partner with many local ministries that address different needs in our communities.

Join us as we creatively present the love and good news of Jesus Christ using every means possible.

Beginning in 1982, Dr. Robinson has served churches in New Mexico and Texas for over 34 years. His life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Lean not unto your own understanding; In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” Dr. Robinson’s passion is to be part of a team seeking to lead Crossroads to be a congregation committed to making disciples who in turn make disciples.

Taylor serves as Associate Pastor as well as the leader of our LifeGroup and Discipleship ministries. He is the husband of Rebecca and father of Annie, John Knox, and Addie. His life-verse is 1 Chronicles 16:11, “Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” It is his hope for Crossroads that the church grow and shine Christ’s light contagiously; that everyone who encounters us will know they have encountered Christ in us and be better for it. It is Taylor’s hope that together our church will treasure and put to active use the spiritual gifts, hearts, abilities, personalities, and experiences God has brought together here for His glory; that everything we are together and individually will reflect His glory to each other as well as those outside our fellowship.
